Liu jian
Jian Liu is a postdoc fellow in the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. He has expertise in both operations management and the electricity market, holding a Ph.D. degree in Management Science and Engineering and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering. His research interests include decision analysis, service operations, electric vehicles, energy storage systems, renewable energy integration, transmission planning, and decarbonization.
Jian Liu has published papers in high-quality journals such as Applied Energy, Computers & Industrial Engineering, European Journal of Operational Research, IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, Information Sciences, International Transactions in Operational Research, Journal of Energy storage, and Journal of the Operational Research Society, and among others. His research has been supported by research grants from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC, the Chinese counterpart of NSF). In addition, he is a track chair for INFORMS Conference on Service Science.
